Behind every experience aboard Kadima are people who bring different expertise to the water. Captain Elliot Nudell leads the sailing experience, while Marissa Levin brings leadership, culture, strategic, and reflective facilitation to select experiences aboard.
CAPTAIN ELLIOT NUDELL
USCG LICENSED CAPTAIN.
Captain Elliot Nudell brings more than 30 years of sailing experience, along with the calm judgment, practical knowledge, and personal approach that has evolved from decades on the water. As a USCG Licensed Captain, his focus is on creating an experience that feels safe, comfortable, and welcoming from the moment guests step aboard.
Aboard Kadima, Elliot leads the sailing and onboard experience, taking care of navigation, safety, route, and the details on the water so guests can settle in, enjoy the views, and focus on their time together.
Elliot also works with new boat owners through hands-on training on their own boats, helping them build confidence with the vessel they will actually be operating.
Whether he is welcoming guests aboard Kadima or helping a new owner become more confident on the water, Elliot brings the same thoughtful approach to every experience: safety, connection, and a genuine passion for sailing the Chesapeake.

Marissa Levin brings a unique blend of more than 35 years of strategic expertise and spiritual wisdom, building five companies and working with hundreds of organizations as a master facilitator and leadership and culture expert to elevate human and organizational potential.
Her life’s purpose has centered on helping leaders and organizations strengthen culture, clarify strategy, build stronger teams, and create environments where people can perform and thrive.
Aboard Kadima, Marissa brings that experience into leadership, strategic, team, and executive gatherings, creating intentional space for people to step away from the day-to-day, reconnect, think differently, and move forward with greater clarity and alignment.
Her facilitation also includes a more reflective and spiritual dimension. Select experiences may incorporate guided meditation, breathwork, ceremonial cacao, manifestation journaling, intention setting, and meaningful conversation to support personal connection, reflection, and growth.
Whether facilitating a strategic leadership experience or a more reflective specialty sailing, Marissa creates intentional experiences centered on clarity, connection, purpose, and meaningful transformation.
Marissa is also a certified wedding officiant, licensed to perform marriage ceremonies, bringing another meaningful dimension to select elopement and wedding experiences aboard Kadima.

Kadima is a beautifully restored Hylas 45 designed for meaningful time on the water, combining classic sailing character with the comfort and space for private sails, celebrations, hosted gatherings, and specialty experiences on the Chesapeake Bay.
Her design provides a comfortable, welcoming setting for relaxing under sail, connecting with others, or taking the helm, while Captain Elliot’s experience and attention to the boat help make every experience relaxed and thoughtfully hosted.
From couples and families to friends, teams, and small groups, Kadima brings people together for sunsets, celebrations, corporate gatherings, Full Moon experiences, and memorable time on the Chesapeake.
WHAT YOU’LL FIND ABOARD
Kadima is equipped for comfortable and capable sailing on the Chesapeake, with GPS, VHF radio, chart plotter, depth finder, autopilot, wheel steering, anchor, dinghy, and life jackets aboard.
For comfort and time together, Kadima also features a shower, kitchen and galley, refrigerator, stove and oven, grill, aft sundeck, bathing platform, and an audio system with inside and outside speakers. Rod holders are also available, and the bathing platform provides convenient access to the water when swimming conditions allow.
No sailing experience is required. Sit back and enjoy the Bay, or take the helm with Captain Elliot.

Kadima Host & Sailing Adventures departs from Arnold, Maryland, just minutes from Annapolis, with direct access to the Chesapeake Bay and surrounding waterways.
Depending on conditions and the day’s sailing plan, your experience may include views of the Bay, shoreline communities, bridges, and various lighthouses along the Chesapeake.
Exact departure and meeting instructions are provided after your experience is confirmed.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS
Charter Duration: Standard private charters with Kadima Host & Sailing Adventures are approximately four hours, unless otherwise arranged in advance.
Guest Capacity: Kadima accommodates up to six charter guests. Certain specialty experiences may have different guest limits.
Captain’s Authority & Guest Conduct: Captain Elliot Nudell has final authority regarding vessel safety, sailing conditions, route, swimming access, and guest conduct while aboard Kadima.
Departure Location: Charters depart from Arnold, Maryland, an Annapolis suburb. Exact departure and meeting instructions are provided after your charter is confirmed.
Payment: Payment may be made by cash, Venmo, or Zelle. Final payment instructions are provided during the confirmation process.
Weather & Safety: Sailing plans are subject to weather and water conditions. Captain Elliot will make the final determination regarding whether conditions are appropriate for sailing.
Alcohol & Guest Safety: Guests are expected to drink responsibly and follow all safety instructions while aboard. Illegal substances are prohibited.
Damage & Excessive Cleaning: Guests may be responsible for damage caused by their party or for unusual cleaning required following a charter.
Personal Belongings: Guests are responsible for their personal belongings while aboard Kadima.
Minors & Safety Equipment: Children must remain under appropriate adult supervision. Life jackets and other safety equipment are available aboard Kadima and may be required when directed by the Captain.
Swimming: Swimming may be available when weather, water conditions, location, and the Captain’s judgment allow.
Accessibility & Special Considerations: Guests who may need assistance boarding or have mobility or accessibility considerations should contact us before booking so the experience can be discussed in advance.
